Honey |
Description |
| Clover | This is a very light honey, it has an intense sweetness and delicate flavour, and it’s collected from our bees while they’re pollinating wild white clover crops. |
| Prickly Box | This honey is collected from bees located in proximity to a native plant called bursaria spinosa. It’s extremely popular due to its very high sugar content and also *crystallises very quickly in the comb or honey container. |
| Armony | This is our pride and joy! It is a boutique honey derived from our bees exclusively located on the Arm river. The valley where our hives are situated is protected from the weather elements and the multi-floral honey source, including the Tasmanian Leatherwood tree, is only available for a short period of time each year. This honey is bee-blended before being removed from our hives; its taste and perfume are out of this world! |
| Bush | This honey has a dark amber colour with a very strong caramel under tone. It is sourced mainly from highland gum flowerings with a mixture of temperate climate ground flora in the vicinity of 600 – 800 metres above sea level. |
| Leatherwood | This honey has an intense full-bodied flavour – if you like strong honey then you’ll love this. |
| Cradle Spice | Sourced from the steep slopes of the Dove River, flowing from Dove Lake, the heart & soul of Cradle Mountain. Cradle Spice Honey has strong spicy undertones, we do hope you enjoy this delightful honey as much as we do. |
| Devil’s Gullet | The name says it all! Our bees are located within flying distance to the Tasmania’s Devil Gullet, the flavour of this honey is to die for! There are a wide variety of trees & native plants, including the Tasmanian Waratah & Leatherwood. Devils Gullet is a spectacular cliff, hundreds of metres above the Fisher River Valley, on clear days you can see all the way to Cradle Mt. PLEASE NOTE: Only available in 500 & 200 gram jars. |
*Honey (which hasn’t been overly processed) naturally crystallises after approximately 6 – 8 weeks. To return the honey to a liquid form, place the pot in a container of simmering warm water.
